Anyone having a problem with the my.newschool.edu website for parsons? It keeps repeating an error that I need to delete my cache. I do that.... and it repeats it again. Grrrr.

If anyone decides not to go to Parsons... It would be the coolesttttttt if you went ahead and told them. I'm on the wait list

University of Washington painting people! I called the advising office and the lady on the phone said decisions should be sent out on the 20th.

How much debt are you guys okay with accumulating for your art degree? Louisiana state university offered me a free ride plus stipend and they said they need an answer this week. I visited and I didn't like it at all. But it's freeee. And the other schools that I got into are pretty expensive. I'm scared I'm going to look back on this and kick myself for not accepting lsu's offer. What do I do?!?! What are you guys doing?!?!

They sent me an email on Friday saying they were in the stages of admissions and that I was accepted. Also said funding would be awarded some time later this week. From the looks of past search results, they usually notify people around the first week of march leading up to march 10th. I hope they send you an email soon!!!!!

Just wondering but has anyone received a rejection letter from sweet sweet Columbia yet? I know a lot of interviews have taken place. I just want to hear somethingggg from Columbia. They're deadly silent.

I mean it definitely can't hurt. I've been trying to do it in not a crazy obvious way. It's worth a shot.

I think I just bombed my skype interview with Parsons. I've never sounded like more of an blubbering tool. Has anyone walked away from an interview yet who has thought they nailed it?

If you look at last years forum posts, the consensus regarding Columbia's slideroom was that when it changes from say "2015 Painting" to "2015 Painting MFA" it means that your work is being looked at. But when it changes back from "2015 Painting MFA" to "2015 Painting" then you can assume rejection. But this was only seen with Columbia's applications. Also, this is only based on a few peoples applications so it could very well be a myth. As of now, mine has changed to 2015 Painting MFA. I'll update on what slideroom says when I find out if I got in or not.

I applied to the Fine Arts department for Painting. They contacted me on feb 9th. Freaking out about the interview.

So I broke down and called Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the guy said that we should receive letters by the end of the week. And I sounded like such a tool on the phone. "Duh... I was wondering.... duh... maybe.... er..... CAN I PAINT PRETTY PICTURES AT YOUR SCHOOL PLEASE."

Would it be bad to call a school and ask when they think a decision will be made? Is that obnoxious? I'm afraid I'm going to lose my assistantship at lsu if I don't tell them in time.

I saw that too! The top part confused me though because it said "Application Status: Accept" I probably shouldn't read into what that means too much but does that mean i was accepted or does that just mean they received my application? Does it say that on yours too?
