3-7? What happens if the 3 students they choose to admit don't matriculate? They have a cohort of 0?
I wonder the same thing. I guess they meant they want a cohort of 3-7, so they'll probably accept about 10...

Has anyone contacted/ received notification from University of Southern California? Their deadline was early Dec. and it looks like they reported by now last year.
I called them a few weeks ago and they said they would be making decisions "in late February" and that they would be admitting 3-7 people...

Anyone know what's up with the irvine acceptance? That was one of my top choices.
Well, that was one of my top choices too. From all those results, I guess they sent out all the acceptance emails at once

Yeah, I applied to 10 schools and I have heard nothing either. I know it's still early but I'm starting to panic... Hopefully February will bring some good news

Congratulations to everyone accepted! Do you guys think they notified everyone that was admitted to penn state? I applied there and heard nothing and now I'm starting to worry... what do you guys think?

Wow, that's confusing. I thought the deadline was Dec 1st and you're right, I just read Jan 15 on the website. I turned everything in in mid November and I received an email from the department saying they would review the files in December. That's why I was sure we would be hearing something pretty soon. But with this new deadline I guess it's going to take a lot longer...

I'm obsessed too. I've been dreaming about this whole process for the past 2 weeks!
But I'm sure that we'll hear from UF soon. I think last year the deadline was Dec 15, so they've had two more weeks to review applications...

Why did they reject you within 24 hours? Did they really have the time to review your application?

I'm very sorry that you didn't get any acceptances this season. It seems like you have a very good profile, so may be you could try to email the programs you applied to and ask if they can give you some feedback on how to improve your application next year. And may be you can take some time to think about what when wrong. I think 5 programs is not a lot, I applied to 10, was accepted by 2 and waitlisted by 1 (so may be if I had only applied to 5 I would have been rejected from all of them too...).
The only school I know that has a late deadline is FIU, but I don't know if you're interested. I think the deadline is April 1st. And who knows, may be you'll end up getting into the program where you've been waitlisted! Good luck!
