Gah! When I logged in to the NSF GRFP page, it gave me a new message, asking me to promise to abide by NSF guidelines; my heartbeat with CRAZY, my hairs stood up -- I was sure that I was about to get the decision! But nope, they're just jerking our chains, as usual. They just asked me to change my password, and then took me to the same old page.

I have real hope this time -- "scheduled maintenance," I know, but they also must be rushing for get things in tonight, so the NSDEG people who get the NSF as well can have some time to choose which one they want.

It depends on the school and how qualified you were. An NSF is a big deal. Not only is it money, but it's redemption; I can't imagine a school in the country that doesn't regard NSF fellows highly.

I call troll!

Well, perhaps they did actual maintenance between 5 PM and midnight, and now they're actually updating. After all, the site says that it updates by 2 AM every morning -- if they're importing results, then they would need to start now!
