I am a rising junior at a medium sized private university. I am a chemistry/math double major, with a biology minor. My overall gpa is currently 3.72. I got AP credit for General Chem I, II, Trig, Calc I, and General Physics I, II. For chemistry courses, only B's are in Orgo I, II. Got an A in all others, as well as in P Chem. All A's in math classes, calc based Physics I and II, as well as Bio classes. B and C in Western Civ I and II, though. A's in everything else. I have 86.5 earned credits right now, and I will be taking 18 credit hours each of my four remaining semesters in order to finish my majors/minor, as well as Gen Ed requirements. I am in an REU program this summer for P Chem research. I will be doing research with a professor during my remaining four semesters, as well. I will be able to get great recommendation letters for professors and my REU adviser. I have not taken the GRE yet, but my quant scores are projected to be high, verbal not so much. I want to get into the grad school for Physical Chemistry. As for where I want to go, I am not completely sure yet. Thought about Georgetown, Chicago, UVA, or Rochester. I am trying to figure out if I have a chance at getting in anywhere first. Lab instructing for gen chem this fall, been a lab assistant the past two semesters. Tutor Calc I, II, III and Organic I, II. Lead weekly review sessions for Organic students. And I have extracurriculars such as volunteering and martial arts (two black belts).
