Just a note of warning for those who plan on doing further studies in North America after a LSHTM MSc/MPH...
Many schools in NA have a problem with LSHTM grades and it can be a big problem if you are trying to get into PhD programs or, more importantly, get funding for future studies.
Myself and four students have all had problems (3 at Canadian schools, 2 at American schools), including one classmate who had an average in the low 4s at LSHTM (a very, very high mark). LSHTM is a fantastic experience, but they really don't have any support (zero, zip) for these type of issues....If you are planning on returning to NA for post-LSHTM studies, I would think very carefully about the funding/admission repercussions of attending LSHTM. It is an awesome school and it is great to not feel like everything in school is about marks, but my experiences at LSHTM have definitely been overshadowed by the post-graduation difficulty of getting marks accepted at external universities.
This is a total nonissue for peeps attending UK/European institutions for their PhD studies, but I have yet to meet someone at a NA school where this has been a minor or major headache.
