  1. Hello everyone, I'd appreciate a little input from those that have gone or are going to social work graduate programs in Colorado. I'm planning on going in about 2 year, but want to start my research now. The only options are pretty much Colorado State University or Denver University. I know DU has a great program, but the price is a little scary. Is it worth it? I'd be really interested in getting one of the certificates they offer, either the animal assisted therapy or Interpersonal Trauma Studies. So that would be a huge plus. If I decide not to pony up the cash to go to DU, my other option is CSU, but I heard their program focuses on rural social work which isn't my area of interest. Is that true? Can anyone tell me how good their program is? I have the advantage of having my undergrad in social work, so I qualify for advanced standing. Does anyone know if you need other qualifications to be accepted as an advanced standing student in these schools? My GPA was fairly good, especially in my last two years, and I know I can get some really strong references, one of which would be from my field instructor whom I now work with. Would that give me a strong application? Thanks so much for your input!
