I'll be starting the English MA program in the fall too - were you at the thesis symposium this last weekend by any chance? I'm also currently living in Texas, and share your sentiments exactly . I'm hoping to find a place in the Bryn Mawr or Ardmore area, since I could just take the train a few minutes to campus, and central Philadelphia still seems easily accessible from there. While it looks like a studio or 1-bedroom will run you at least $800 in these areas, I've been able to find several two-bedroom listings on Craigslist with reasonable rents - have you been able to access the roommate matching form on the Villanova website?
