Satisfaction with MFT programs & specific programs in CA

Hello

I'm coming from the clinical psychology world (I have my MA in clinical psychology from TC), and thinking of making a switch to get my MFT, for numerous reasons (health concerns, time, finances, gaps in my resume).

I'm worried about my level of happiness within an MFT program, since I appreciate rigorous science study as well. From what you know, what do MFT students spend their time learning? Different therapeutic modalities or something else? Is it interesting? I'd also like to do assessments, and I hear this is possible with an MFT.

Also, re specific programs, I'm looking at Palo Alto University, University of San Francisco, and Wright Institute. Any preferences? Do the programs differ significantly?

Thank you :-P
