FiloSoFia Posted January 20, 2018 Posted January 20, 2018 Hello, Did anyone apply for the advertised PhD position, Ethics of AI, at the Oxford Internet Institute this year? It's a three-year doctorate studentship funded by Google: https://www.oii.ox.ac.uk/study/dphil-in-information-communication-and-the-social-sciences/ I searched every forum here at Gradcafe, but I could not find any relevant threads on this program. I have applied for this program but would love to hear from those who are already at the Oxford Internet Institute, or from those who also decided to apply. Thanks!
unpunctuated_equilibrium Posted February 5, 2018 Posted February 5, 2018 Hi, I didn't apply for the Ethics in AI position but I did apply for the DPhil in Information, Communication and the Social Sciences at OII for autumn 2018 entrance! Looking at relevant prior year materials on GradCafe, the main thing I'm gathering is that they are only likely to contact people regarding interviews at the end of February/beginning of March. So am trying to not stress about it too much.
