PhishGirl Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I just need someone rational to calm me down...my anxiety is killing me! I interview 2 weeks ago at the only school to which I applied for the clinical psych ph.d program. I have seen on another board that one person has listed an acceptance to the school's clinical program, and on the grad cafe forum I saw that one student has received an offer to the general/experimental program (they interviewed a week after us clinical applicants). No where have I seen that anyone has been waitlisted or rejected. I feel like I had a tremendously good shot at this school and I am consequently tremendously nervous about hearing back... Is the fact that no one appears to be waitlisted or rejected a good sign that they haven't really started letting everyone know? Sorry for this rambling post... eek!
oldlady Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Don't worry -- the waiting is getting to me, too! Since you've interviewed, why not send an e-mail to someone with whom you met? Reiterate how excited you are about the program and ask when a decision on your candidacy will be made. Good luck!

Hee hee hee, Its funny when we have to handle the anxieties of someone who wants to do a PhD in clinical Psych. what about the ordinary mortals?
myrrh Posted March 2, 2010 Posted March 2, 2010 I think it's ok. There's no rejection nor waitlist notified, and hey, there's only one admission. I got my admission (as well as five year full funding package) several weeks later than the first admission reported on gradcafe! I would not say there's any good sign. The decision is unknown so far. However, I guess the situation is not very different from "nothing heard by anyone".
PhishGirl Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 when will Phish announce their summer tour??!! Hahaha...I would venture a guess at April...first shows should be in June (the boys seem to schedule the tours around their kid's summer vacations) and we need time to buy tickets and lose our minds with anticipation.
