ast1012 Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 On the results page for this year, there are several people reporting waitlists and, recently, rejections. Has anyone been accepted? Has everyone who was interviewed been contacted with more info on their status? I was not interviewed or waitlisted. I am wondering if I should be holding out any hope or not! Have you all heard anything?
amultitudeofdrops Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I'm in the same boat. I feel like we have to take at least a little heart from the fact that we were not rejected, but at the same time they have to have handed out most of their acceptances, right? It's a little confusing. I'm just trying to stay optimistic until I know for sure!
ast1012 Posted March 2, 2010 Author Posted March 2, 2010 Emory handed out acceptances in mid-February, I believe exclusively to those who were initially invited to interview. (This is true for English; I don't know about CompLit.) The wait list was comprised of interviewees, and, I think, a few other applicants. How did you find out? Were you one of the acceptances?
Swagato Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Reviving this thread for a bit. I noticed someone posted an accept for Emory's Film Studies MA program recently (on the 8th). Has anyone else heard anything? Apologies if this isn't the right place -- couldn't find an Emory film thread.
lizushkin Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 I interviewed for Comp Lit in early February, was waitlisted in mid February, and was accepted off the waitlist in late February. From what I understood, everyone interviewing in early February had not been given a decision status. I hope that this helps anyone who is waiting for a reply! Good luck to everyone!
