Shankar Venkatraman Posted March 6, 2018 Posted March 6, 2018 Hi guys, I recently received an admit from Cornell university for Masters in Financial Engineering for Fall 2018. The admit was conditional upon me re-taking two undergrad courses (Linear Algebra and Ordinary Differential Equations), get a grade of "B" or higher and then provide the university a transcript for the same prior to enrolment. I can always go attend a summer school in Cornell and get the courses done, but it involves obvious risks and is also highly expensive. It's been three years since I passed out of college and I am a resident of India. If anyone has faced a similar issue, or if someone has a possible solution, kindly let me know. Thanks in advance!
SoundsintheHIll Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 Hi, sorry to raise this issue again, since I am encountering quite similar situation here. If you have been accepted to the MFE, can I know how have you satisfied your condition? I've been accepted to Columbia SIPA, but they required me to take a Calculus class and get a grade of B or higher. In your case, did you take the summer school? If so, do you have any reference for cheaper summer program that provides math/econ courseworks? Any information you provided will be much appreciated! Thanks
