seyaraa Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I am currently working at a lab in UT Southwestern and I have liked the place so far. So, when the time to applying for grad schools came, naturally I applied to UT Southwestern (along with Dartmouth, Baylor and UAB). I have already interviewed at Dartmouth and Baylor; interviews were fine in both the places. However, i sense that UT southwestern does things differently. More precisely, I never received any email asking for the lists of faculties that I would want to meet. So my interview is next weekend and i have no clue who my interviewers are going to be! I wrote an email to the administrator in charge and she responded that I will be given the list of interviews the night before at dinner. Should I be concerned? I feel very unprepared not knowing who I am going to be meeting. Anyone who have had similar situation? Any help is appreciated. I only have a week's time. Thanks a bunch!
biomed2010 Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 No you should not be concerned. You get it at dinner. That was enough time to look them up that evening just to have an idea of what area they worked in. None of my interviewers seemed to have any expectation that I would have any idea about their research. Best of luck to you!
seyaraa Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 thanks biomed2010. i feel better now. hopefully, it'll all work out just fine. now i have to wait and see if they set me up with the PIs that work in my field of interest, or if it is some random professors. can't wait till the end of next weekend!
