Urban Planning: UNC vs. Berkeley

Good afternoon all,

We are getting down to the wire. I am (gratefully) deciding between UNC and UC Berkeley for a Master's in City/Urban Planning, with a HCED focus. Anyone in the same boat/have opinions to share regarding the two programs?

Berkeley is a super expensive place to live but probably slightly more prestigious. I assume you're talking about University of North Carolina Chapel Hill? 

Assuming financial aid is the same, would you rather have a more urban, "happening" experience at Berkeley, or be in a cheaper (hotter) college town in Chapel Hill?
