Out of curiosity, how much to earn an initial level java dev / programmer? what do you think, what amount of knowledge should an entry-level candidate have?

It all depends on your project, and on your budget. A good developer takes about 50k per year, but it also depends on the level of knowledge and work experience, just as important is the knowledge of English at an excellent level that the developer clearly understands your requirements and goals. Hi!

According to this article with programmer salaries, junior can have 60.000$+ per year. But I also think it depends on your project, company and skills. So these numbers can be lower and, of course, higher.
