Snakes Posted May 9, 2018 Posted May 9, 2018 (edited) Sorry that this is kind of late. I've been admitted to both of these Computer Science programs as a masters student, and I was looking for advice. The University of Rochester seems to be the slightly better school, but UIC is cheaper. I'm getting a 50% scholarship on my tuition at Rochester, but it would still be about $20,000, and the estimated living cost is $17,000. At UIC, the tuition would be $19,000 per year, and the living cost would be $10,000 - $13,000. I'm from Chicago, so I could live with my parents, but it would be a decent commute (about 1 and a half hours), and I don't know if it would be wise to do that while I'm busy in graduate school. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks! Edited May 9, 2018 by Snakes
