Guest gooner Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 Hi folks....Any updates on apps in the IE/OR programs. So far i got admits in PSU (No aid), Purdue and LSE. Got bumped by UMinn for MS program. NW bumped my PhD app. still waiting for Gatech, Columbia, Virginia tech and Stern.
Guest bobsti Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 I applied to IE/OR PhD with interest in financial engineering/ applied probability Princeton ->rejetced Stanford ->rejected LSE -> accepted for a Masters program (didnt apply for Phd there) still waiting for answers from Columbia and Northwestern
Guest gatesie Posted March 8, 2006 Posted March 8, 2006 All Ph.D. programs: In at mich and berkeley, rejected at princeton, still waiting for cornell (I called, they said "by the end of march" - !!!), columbia, georgia tech (I called, they're "making decisions every day, through the end of march" and my file had not yet been completed, ie, documents matched to file, though I sent my stuff well before the deadline -!!!). Given that these (except ga tech/berk) are all relatively small programs, the wait they're putting us through is unconscionable.
Guest gooner Posted March 9, 2006 Posted March 9, 2006 I have also been admitted for the masters program at LSE, but I have to look at ways to fund myself. Heard from Stern and London business school. Bad news from both schools jus waiting for columbia and gatech
Guest guest Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 There are no news from Cornell and Rutgers yet. Has anyone heard, especially, from Cornell after 15th?
Guest gooner Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Check out the gradcafe results section...I think i saw one on Cornell. Dont know abt Rutgers though
Guest Guest Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 Thanks, gooner There are three of them at Cornell. Good luck to you all guys
Guest Guest Posted April 10, 2006 Posted April 10, 2006 Does anyone know how good the OR and financial math PhD programs are? I got into Princeton, but how does it compare with some of the others (Cornell, Stern, etc.)? There do not seem to be any helpful literature. Any thoughts/insights would be appreciated.
