Can you compare for example the VLSI in UCLA with wireless or signal processing in Princeton?
enter Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 Princeton has a small and high quality department of EE, which only focuses on certain research areas. It primarily excels in the areas of information theory, and electrical materials and devices. It has few faculty interested in IC design. On the other hand UCLA does not have the all round ivy prestige, but has a strong EE department. It excels in IC design, and has Razavi (wow!) as a prof and Samueli (founder of Broadcom) as an alumni.
