Wannabe_physicist Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Hello everyone, I will be applying for a PhD in theoretical physics this fall. I have very strong Letters of Recommendation, general GRE 158/168 and a publication (in Physical Review D). The main shortcoming of my profile is GPA. I am an Indian student, my GPA is 7.6/10. I have a decent grade curve and my GPA has constantly improved over the past few semesters. I have yet to give physics GRE. Can someone please suggest good theoretical physics groups where I could apply and have a realistic chance? Is there a place where I could find the GPA required by universities? I am not interested in phenomenology, cosmology and theoretical condensed matter physics. prakashreg 1
