Can someone comment on the quality of the Purdue Statistics department?

Nobody that knows the strengths or weaknesses of the department? Or its ranking?

Here's my $0.02:

The department is top 10 according to US News and World Report. It seems to me that they have strong ties with the engineering program at Purdue. Of the four schools to which I applied they were the only one adamant about me knowing in what field I would do research. This is probably one of or the reasons they rejected me! Check out their website for more info or shoot off some emails to several randomly chosen grad students if you really want to know.
