Hi all! I’m from China and doing stats master in US right now, and I’m going to apply to PhD programs this fall. Since I’m in a small department, few students apply to other PhD programs, and thus I really lack the information on application evaluation. Any suggestions on my program list are welcome!

Additional notes: Most students that go on pursuing PhD just stayed in our own department. Although my advisor said that my chance of staying in the department is quite high, nothing can be guaranteed. Therefore, I plan to apply 5-8 programs just in case.
