I/O job questions?

Hello, 

I am a current psych major interested in an I/O degree. I hear it's the highest paying in psychology and widely available, however when I search for such job near my area (I live in LA), barely anything comes up and whatever does has a pretty low salary ($50,000).. am I just searching the wrong thing? What are some things  I should search that allow me to work in I/O? Can you tell me about your experience finding a job out of grad school, how long it took, and what was your starting salary as well as what you make now?
