NCSU Admission Decision - Admit

This is to inform you that your application has been approved for admission into Mechanical Engineering - MS The paperwork has been sent to the Graduate School for their approval. You should have a formal admission letter from them in the near future via email. Please be sure to let me know if your email address changes, because I will be in touch with you in the coming months.

It means I have been accepted by the department and now the grad school admission should go smoothly right?

Wow that sounds pretty amazing, especially because I didn't believe to get any acceptance. My GPA was the lowest ever and my scores were not impressive. Now I should say that there is always hope.

What he said. Just to clarify: it's a formality that the Graduate Faculty/School/etc. makes the actual decision and sends the letter. It's fairly common.
