DSW Musings - Applications, UBuffalo, etc.

Curious if anyone here has experience applying to DSW programs - many require that the applicant have 2+ years of professional experience. For those who have been through the process, is this requirement at all flexible? Would schools consider individuals within their second year of SW practice?

Additionally, does any one have insights/thoughts on the DSW at U Buffalo? Wondering if there should be any hesitation on my part to apply to such a new program, though I do know their SW department is very established.
