How important is it for a PhD epi degree to be accreditated in CEPH?

I understand another component in the success of one's post PhD journey is the quality of research work they did and the mentor. If a PhD is obtained not from a CEPH University will this affect future research employment say in the CDC, NIH and etc?

FYI I am also coming as almost a non-traditional ground as my MS is not in epidemiology or public health.

Let others tell it, you're going to miss out on fellowships specifically aimed at CEPH graduates...
