School outreach/communication

Hi all,

I got admitted to SIPA's MPA and I must say I'm very impressed by all of the communication I've been getting. I've been getting almost daily emails (form emails of course) from directors of all the different concentrations, not to mention an admissions blog from the Admissions office that detailed the process of where they are in terms of going through applications (very helpful when you haven't heard anything!), and now they set up a message board where admitted and current students can interact and ask/answer questions.

I just want to ask if people think that it says something about the transparency, activeness of the student body, open communicative culture. etc. of the school? I applied to 2 other schools and I haven't heard a peep --well I got an acceptance email from one but that's been about it.

Have other people been getting much communication from their schools?
