Do you know the name of think-tanks, research institutes and NGOs which deal with security forces and repression in dictatorships?

Hi. I am really interested to study how repression structures work and how security forces are organized and operate inside authoritarian regimes and I would like to become and expert in this field, possibly with a focus on the MENA region. Do you know the name of think-tanks, research institutes or NGOs, which deal with this topic? I currently live in Berlin and I speak Italian, English and German and I look for one of them based in Europe or in the Middle East. Thanks.
