Guacemole Posted January 24, 2019 Posted January 24, 2019 Hello beautiful people, I am wondering how you would go about asking for a research assistantship for MPH program to a professor. I have an extensive research background in biochemistry and molecular biology and would like to be involved in some kind of research in grad school. I did email one of the professors about the assistantship after I received my acceptance from one of the schools I applied for (and received a small scholarship (not much), so being an RA would definitely help with bills as well.) Any insights or personal experiences would be appreciated!
car. Posted January 25, 2019 Posted January 25, 2019 I don't have experience with research in grad school, but I did do Independent Research while in Undergrad at UofT. I approached one of my professors. We didn't know each other very well at the time, but he at least knew who I was. I told him about my research idea, and he put me in contact with another professor. They ended up co-supervising my research project.
