Bill Wang Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I got admitted by the master of statistics program at Columbia, Wisconsin-Madison, master of applied math and stats at JHU, and master of financial engineering program at NYU Tandon. Do you guys have any suggestion about which one is better? Thanks.
omicrontrabb Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 I’m not familiar with all of those programs, but Columbia’s master of stats program is known for being a cash cow for the department. Many people on this forum have indicated that it does not result in the best learning experience.
bayessays Posted March 19, 2019 Posted March 19, 2019 If you want to be a financial engineer, go to NYU. If you want to be a statistician, go to Wisconsin. If you are totally undecided, go to JHU. Statboy and Geococcyx 2
