biostats_chick Posted April 13, 2019 Posted April 13, 2019 (edited) Anyone can suggest a friendlier (and perhaps clearer) alternative to Sheldon Ross' A first course in probability? I have read a ton of negative reviews about this book but I would like to go through the concepts covered in this book. Suggestions welcome Edited April 13, 2019 by biostats_chick
Geococcyx Posted April 14, 2019 Posted April 14, 2019 I'm not sure about the later chapters, but the first 6 or 7 chapters appear similar in content to Devore and Berk's Modern Mathematical Statistics with Applications. I'm not quite clear about what sort of difference in content depth there is between the two, but Devore and Berk is pretty friendly in my experience.
