ace Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 Hi - Is anyone here going or considering going to Emerson this fall for Communication Disorders??? I'm still thinking about it!
Samodeo Posted April 2, 2010 Posted April 2, 2010 I'm still thinking about it too (and running out of time...yikes!) I've narrowed it down to MGH and Emerson - MGH for the curriculum and Emerson for the more traditional "school" experience. I liked both schools when I visited, but unfortunately I was in Boston during Christmas break so I didn't get to go to any classes, and at MGH I only met professors and at Emerson only students. I got the impression that the students were very happy there, though, and felt supported by the faculty and challenged by the classes. I still feel like I have an incomplete picture of both schools, and I wish I could go to the open house but I won't be able to make it there from Seattle (or did I miss it already? Not sure which tense to use). I don't have a background in communication disorders, so I'm not really sure what I want to focus on yet either so I can't really go by which school is stronger in a specific area. I think whether or not I get any merit aid from Emerson in the first round will be the deciding factor! Have you visited Emerson? What factors are swaying you one way or the other? Where else are you considering?

amalkasi Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 I just got accepted to Emerson last week, my first and only acceptance so far. I'm from California so Boston would be a huge change. I've never been so any advice would be much appreciated!
