portionsforf0xes Posted April 1, 2010 Posted April 1, 2010 I applied to Kent State for the PhD in Clinical Psychology in November, and I've heard absolutely nothing. I've heard from all the other PhD and PsyD programs I've applied to...except for this one. Anyone else?
sesame123 Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I applied to the same program and I haven't heard anything either. I called the department 2 days ago and they said that if you haven't received a rejection letter, then that means you can still be considered. She wasn't so clear about it though. So I'm guessing we are on the waiting list?
lilchamor Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Same here. I sent my application in November, and while I did get confirmation that all my application materials were received, I've gotten no further messages from the department. A couple of weeks ago I sent a polite email to the department asking about my application status. I never got a reply. Keep in mind, though, that Kent State has a later application deadline then most Clinical PhD programs (January 1st, wheras most programs have a November or December deadline), so it might take them longer to make a decision. However, seeing as it is almost May, I do think it is highly unusual for a program to wait so long. Most programs will at least let you know if you're on the waiting list. Here's to hoping they accept all of us, dedicated students and members of thegradcafe.
