AM2020 Posted July 5, 2019 Posted July 5, 2019 I want to apply for the MSc in epidemiology at LHSTM but all I hear is that previous work experience is a huge asset, and people struggle to get in straight out of their undergrad without it. Is that the case or have I been misled? I'm currently doing my BSc in psychology at the University of Toronto, and my cgpa is 3.54 (last year gpa was 3.94 and I've got one year left, so hoping to pull it up more with another good year), and I'll be working on a couple research projects with different profs next year which may help, but still doesn't take away from the fact that I have no work experience in the health sector. Any suggestions on what to emphasize in my motivation letter when applying if I can't get work experience?
