ruby726 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Anyone know any major differences or pros/cons of the programs at Montclair and William Paterson?
speedy28 Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Sorry, don't know. I applied to Montclair but I wish I had applied to W.P. as well. Are both schools competitive?

I think both schools are pretty competitive. They both have good reputations in the state according to the people I have spoken to.
Elena04 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 Has anyone applied to Kean University? I called up today and they said a bunch of letters were mailed out today.
SimilarlyDifferent Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Anyone know any major differences or pros/cons of the programs at Montclair and William Paterson? William Paterson is highly competitive in Nursing, Business, Communications, and Speech Pathology. All of the students that I know in this program (BA/Masters track) are also a part of the Honors College and these students are required to maintain a pretty high GPA in order to stay in the program. Granted, as I mentioned, these students are in the BA track that leads to the masters, because the school has a dual program for undergrad students. I can't speak for people that they let into the program who did undergrad elsewhere, but you will be competing for spots with undergrad honors students that have 3.75 or higher GPAs, graduated with honors, and have completed an honor's thesis in their field. If you have any questions about the school in general, I might be able to answer them for you. I don't really know about Montclair's program, so I can't speak for it at all. I visited the school a few months ago and decided not to apply (a different program) but I wasn't impressed by the school overall.
