sassafrass Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 It looks like my decision will be between SAIC or RISD for photography. (yay! ) I know a bit about SAIC but not as much about RISD. Costs are pretty much the same though living is less expensive in RI. Does anyone have info they can offer? Do you know someone who went to either school? Trying to weigh all the factors and want to get a second opinion...
savantarde Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I'm going to SAIC, but I'm not photo. So, in that respect, I wish I could better help you out! So yeah, I say SAIC. Chicago is amazing.

All the current students that I talked too seem to really like the program. I wasn't too excited about the faculty but Chicago and the Museum makes up for it. When I interviewed there, it just felt right.
littlenova Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I really like the work coming out of SAIC. Something is definitely happening in the midwest...
mnchick Posted April 6, 2010 Posted April 6, 2010 I just realized that what I wrote made no sense. what I was trying to get at was that the faculty was amazing and the facility was lacking.

You know I read through this so fast I didn't notice. I agree with you. It felt really good and I really liked the students and I thought the studios were quite spacious. I am pretty sure it is where I want to be
