zoo7 Posted September 20, 2019 Posted September 20, 2019 (edited) Hello everyone, I'm passionate about urban anthropology and was wondering which PhD programs have a good reputation in the field. I'm an international student so I don't have much inside knowledge about US schools. To put it broadly, I'm interested in how cities and urban space reflect and reinforce gender roles. My geographical interest is South Asia. I've shortlisted Brown, NYU and University of Michigan. Also considering LSE CITIES (which comes under the Sociology department). I'd be grateful for any inputs on these programs, and any others I might be missing out on. Thank you! Edited September 20, 2019 by zoo7
oroanthro Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Have you checked out the work of S Low at CUNY? She and a number of others work on urban space, and there are a lot of people (including D-A Davis) who work on gender. zoo7 1
