leahshay Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 Hey all Starting to dig around for programs with an emphasis in modernist lit (American or British... preferably British, though) and/or gender studies? Suggestions off the top of your head? Thanks! You all have been a great resource so far.. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks without actually posting anything

I've been lurking for a couple of weeks without actually posting anything I'm interested in modernism, and to a lesser extent gender studies, and the two places that come to mind off the top of my head are WashU and Illinois (U-C). Both have great faculty in both areas. If I think of any others I'll let you know. Good luck!
ecritdansleau Posted April 11, 2010 Posted April 11, 2010 UIUC comes to my mind also for Modernism and gender studies, especially if you happen to be into Joyce. WUSTL is also great for Modernists and gender studies (Rafia Zafar, Guinn Batten, Julia Walker, Anca Parvulescu) University of Pennsylvania is particular good for British Modernism and Modernist poetics, I believe. And Yale has Paige McGinley. One recommendation: If you have library access to the journal Modernism/Modernity, look through for articles done on gender and Modernism, and check out the faculty members and departments to which that directs you.
