oikodome Posted December 7, 2019 Posted December 7, 2019 Hi there! I have a simple question that I guess is basic to everyone here. I took first year psych as electives - I'm in the pre-medical program. I remember learning something amazing during the perception module where the professor shows various examples of images that oscillate rapidly below the detection of our perception - as a result you're staring at a picture of an airplane with no engines when after around 10 seconds you can see that it actually does? Does anyone know the name of this illusory effect? I couldn't find it as I lost my laptop with powerpoint links. Thank you so kindly!
oikodome Posted December 11, 2019 Author Posted December 11, 2019 Thanks everyone. No worries - I've asked my instructor and found the source.
