Hello everyone,

I know this is ALWAYS asked but I am freaking out a bit right now because I just noticed a kind of large mistake in my already submitted SOP.

instead of saying “led” I WROTE “LEAD.” I don’t know how this slipped through as I re-read the statement 462627 times but it did and I am mortified. I got a 5 on the GRE writing so I know I can write well and don’t feel like this is a good representation of myself now ?

The deadline hasn’t passed yet, but I received an email early this week that my application was “complete and ready for review” by faculty so I feel like it is too late to swap it out.

How big of a deal do you think this is? I’m applying for a PhD in marine sciences / atmospheric sciences (not English - thank God.)
