Everywhere else, yes. But not at Harvard. Tenure comes with promotion to full.

I'm wait-listed. Congrats to everyone who got accepted! I learned from the DGS that whether they can take people off the wait list depends as much on *when* they hear accepted students are going elsewhere as on *how many* say no; apparently if other departments are oversubscribed by the time they get a "no" back, the university forces them to just give up those spots.

So if, by any chance, you happen to have a school that's a strictly better fit than Harvard, know that there's at least one person out there who'd get a lot out of you letting them know that sooner than later ??

Anyone know for sure where they'll be next year? We're a small field, so I'd love to keep up with everyone :)

I am accepting at UB since their offer was far and away the best I had.
