Middle Eastern Studies Applicants 2020

Hi!

I've applied this season for the first time to the PhD programs in Middle Eastern Studies at NYU and Columbia and the MA in Middle Eastern Studies at SOAS. I was accepted to SOAS but as an international student I won't be able to attend due to a complete lack of funding opportunities.

My research interests include postcolonial theory; transnational politics of representation; history of Arab nationalism and pan-Arabism; photography and visual culture in the Middle East; and social movements, particularly solidarities with Palestine.

I'd love to chat with others applying to these programs!

Hey there! I would also look at the NELC PhD thread for information. 

I just got off the phone with NYU actually, they have already made their offers for the PhD, or have at least already selected the group. I unfortunately don't have information on the other programs, but I wish you the best of luck!
