Hi all,

I just found this forum today! I got accepted to the University of Pennsylvania and Northwestern. My interests are gender, religion, and cross-national studies. I like both quantitative and qualitative methods, but tend to lean toward qualitative because I love to blur the line between Sociology and Anthropology.

I visited Northwestern and thought it was really great, but did not get to visit UPenn. For those who did visit, how was it? What were the grad students like, and were they happy? Is it overly-quantitative? What do faculty-student interactions seem to be like?

Last, does anyone have an idea of job placement or prestige of the two schools?

That's my whole slew of questions--I'm so overwhelmed right now. Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I would try to call up some graduate students and ask them your burning questions.
