Hi,

I got rejected from a ton of PhD programs in Economics. I got admitted to Chicago's MAPSS(Masters in Quantitative Methods and Social Analysis concentration) as well as the MA in Computational Social Science(MACSS). Which one do you think is a better choice for applying to PhD programs in Economics? MAPSS is 1 yr while MACSS is 2 years.I thought about the Econ concentration when applying within the MAPSS but had a strong hunch that I probably would not be selected(don't know why.... so didn't apply to that one).
