Getting into SLP grad school with a low gpa

Question

Posted

Hello,

I applied to grad schools for speech-language pathology (SLP) in Canada for the first time and I ended up getting rejected from all of them. I mean, I understand I don't have stellar grades but I worked really hard in my last two years of University and my grades proved it. I am now quite disheartened but still managing to explore other options as I am extremely passionate about getting into SLP. I know that some schools in the U.S offer post-bacc programs for students who are in my position (where gpa maybe holding them back) and I  would really appreciate some advice for anyone that has taken that route.

thank you

I'm actually in this position myself. I applied to a couple of grad programs here in the states with a low gpa and so far I've been rejected from one program and still waiting to hear back from the others. I'm trying to stay hopeful but I have my doubts... I'm interested to see what the other responses will be and how the post-bacc route has been for them.
