higashi11 Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 I was admitted into the Engineering Ph.D program in Texas A&M University in the end of February and just received funding offer last week. The funding is in term of fellowship and its not so interested: $3000 and out of state tuition waiver, I still have to pay the in state tuition :(. As my background is not so good, this offer is in my expectation. This was the first time I applied for Ph.D admission and Texas A&M was the only school I applied for this Fall 2020 due to my limited application budget. I can say that it is difficult to decline this offer as it is my only choice. Assuming I can manage to fund myself in the first semester and will find a TA or RA position once I am there, should I accept this offer? Really need to hear some advice. Thank you very much.
