HiImBatman Posted April 6, 2020 Posted April 6, 2020 Hi everyone, I've been admitted to the cognitive science program at JHU and the neuroscience programs at UT Austin and Baylor College of Medicine. JHU's cogsci program doesn't have a rotation system, so I'll be tied to one lab. The lab I have been accepted into seems friendly and works on things I find interesting right now. Yet, I'm afraid that my interests might change significantly over time (?) and I'm always wary of limiting my options at the outset. BCM and UT Austin also have great neuroscience programs (though I'm interested in mostly the systems/cognitive/theoretical/computational aspects as opposed to the cellular/molecular aspects). As an international student, all these places seem similar to live in. The stipends are comparable across programs. Do you guys have any suggestions as to what program I should choose? Also, any factors I should be keeping in mind? Thanks in advance!
