Hi everyone! I'm currently trying to make my final decision on which graduate school to go to and would love any and all information anyone has about the speech-language pathology programs at Georgia Southern (Armstrong campus), LSU Baton Rouge, Ole Miss, and University of West Georgia. I'd like to make things as cheap as I can so if anyone has any information about how common graduate assistantships are at these schools, I'd love to hear about that as well! I was offered a GA position at Ole Miss: 10 hours a week, stipend of $2500 a semester, out-of-state fees waiver, and 75% tuition scholarship. (Ole Miss had a Praxis exam pass rate of just 80% in 2017, but it's been 100% since then. I don't know if this is something to be worried about.) Since I am unable to visit programs before the decision deadline, I'm trying to find out as much as I can about each one before making a decision!

A little about me: I'm from Georgia so Georgia Southern and West Georgia would be in-state for me. I'm interested in voice therapy and would love to work with singers and actors one day. I'm also interested in being an SLP in a school.

West GA is a great school I will be graduating from there and the professors are excellent. The grad assistship from Ole Miss eventhough its out of ststae you would jut be looking at having to pay some feeswhich would prob be less than taking out loans or wating for GA positions in other places.Thats my thought process but congrats on the oppotunites you have.
