Hello~I am an international student. I have already had MFA in Korean traditional Painting but I want to develop my work further so that I want to study in America where is the center of contemporary art. I got accepted by two schools. San Francisco Art Institute and School of museum of fine art. I am really confused that which school is better for potencial artists. America is a huge country so that it seems like that San Francisco and Boston are located in a different country for me. I need some advice. Whcih city is better for artists especially after graduation ?

The art centers of the US are pretty much in Los Angeles and New York. From my experience working for and with many major artist...the west coast seems to be a better place to produce art, make connections, etc...BUT I know that the place to sell your art or get more international exposure, you want to be represented by the east coast. I believe both coasts need each other. But if I would have to choose, I would go with SFAI. San Francisco is a great (and very close knit family) art community. I am pretty sure that Boston has great art and a good community, but I don't hear too many things coming from that city.

Neither! Go with the middle, just to be safe.

:P

P.S., I am going to SAIC, so I had to chime in with a suggestion!
