With literally HOURS to decide, I cannot make a decision. Pros and cons to both schools, no school is going to be absolutely perfect. I plan to skate on their skating teams, Michigan State will be more demanding (skating-wise), but possibly more rewarding.

I am worried about the oral examination and extra final examination at MSU, but it's not a huge deal. Also, worried about living in Milwaukee. Would love ANY and ALL input on either of these schools.

Can I ask what you’re worried about if you live in Milwaukee? I grew up there so I can answer any questions you might have!

Just worried about the commute to class, skating practice, coaching, and clinical placements! Is it hard to get around? Hard to find parking?

I would say parking is probably a little more available than other, bigger cities, but it still isn't incredibly easy to come by. I know there is a garage maybe two blocks from the Health Sciences building, which is where I'm guessing most of your classes would be. I think on my tour, the tour guide said a pass for the garage was about $500 per semester. I'm guessing skating practices would be at the Pettit National Ice Center, which is in West Allis. (I'm not sure on this, but I don't think Marquette has their own ice rink.) It would usually take you maybe 10-15 minutes to get there, but obviously it would be longer during rush hour. I definitely think as long as you plan out enough time to account for traffic and finding parking at downtown spots, you shouldn't have a problem! I know a lot of the suburban hospitals like St. Francis Hospital and Franklin Hospital usually have ample parking. During the winters, the city and surrounding suburbs usually do a pretty good job of salting and plowing, but just make sure to leave extra time for weather issues! Do you have a place in mind that you'd like to live?
