marym Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Hi there, I have admissions to Cal state university east bay and UC Santa Barbara - both for a masters in statistics. Despite scouring the website and rankings, I am not sure which one of them I'd pick. I plan to get a job in industry after I'm done. PhD is not part of the plan Recommendations on which is better at what would be helpful & if you feel strongly about either university! Thanks!
sciencegal Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 (edited) UCSB, hands down. Reputation of the department is much better, academic rigor is also substantially greater. Congrats on your admissions! Edited April 20, 2010 by sciencegal
